This charity event is organized by family and friends of Karen with two goals in mind.

The first goal is to raise public awareness about Ataxia. This is an ailment that affects hundreds of thousands of people in the United States, yet few people have heard of it.

The second goal is to raise money to fund research to find treatments and a cure for Ataxia. 100% of the proceeds from the Karen's Hope Ataxia Benefit will be donated to the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center at the University of Minnesota Medical Foundation.

What: A charity golf tournament, silent auction and dinner to benefit the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center at the University of Minnesota. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at a variety of levels.

When: Monday, June 14, 2010

Where: Oak Marsh Golf Course

Who can participate: The golf tournament is open to all skill levels. Anyone may join us at the dinner and silent auction.

Golf Tournament

The 2010 Karen’s Hope Golf Tournament will be held at Oak Marsh Golf Course in Oakdale, Minnesota, on Monday, June 14. Golf check-in begins at 10:30 AM with a shotgun start at 11:30 AM.

  • Professional! 5,793 yard, 18 hole golf course with a par of 70
  • Challenging! 31 bunkers and 13 holes with marsh and wetlands that come into play
  • Exciting! Tournament play is a four-person scramble—enter your family foursome, a team of competitive co-workers, or with a group of friends from your church or community
  • The $135 entry fee per golfer includes:
    - Green fees and cart
    - Grab bag
    - Chances to win other prizes
    - Dinner and silent auction entry
    - $53 Tax-deductible donation
Silent Auction & Dinner

The 2010 Karen’s Hope Silent Auction & Dinner will be held at Prom Center in Oakdale, Minnesota. The silent auction begins at 3:30 PM and the buffet dinner begins at 6:00 PM.
